Under the "Indoor Air Quality Management" section on page 17, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) highlights the need for fragrance-free, non-toxic cleaning products:

"By using fragrance-free, non-toxic cleaning products, schools can limit exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other irritants that exacerbate asthma and allergy symptoms."

By advocating for these changes, AAFA leads the way toward safer schools. Indoor air quality matters deeply for both student and staff health.

States should do more to protect students' health in classrooms and beyond.

Taking these steps goes beyond helping those with asthma and allergies - it also protects individuals with sensory issues who are sensitive to fragrances and VOCs.
